Ribbons in other workspaces
The ribbon follows the page you are working on. A resource library offers creation and filters; an editor offers content maintenance; a business page offers actions on its own records.
The main ribbon guide covers pinning, scrolling, descriptions, and shortcuts. This page maps the remaining workspace ribbons and links to their full workflows.

Memory library and editor
The Memories library ribbon offers New and Filters. Create a resource there or narrow the library list, then open a memory's units to maintain its content.
The memory editor has Tm, Edit, View, Terminology, Tags, and Searchspeare tabs. Some tab headings use the workspace name shown by the interface.
| Tab | Commands and behavior |
|---|---|
| Tm | Import supported bilingual material into the selected memory; Export saved memory content as TMX |
| Edit | Confirm, Lock/Unlock, Undo/Redo, segment case, ending punctuation, quotation normalization, character formatting, Find & Replace, and Symbols |
| View | Supported font, text-size, tooltip, whitespace, layout, position, and toolbar-row controls |
| Terminology | Extract Glossary from the selected memory resource and the available term-add action |
| Tags | Tag display and translation-handling controls and active-unit inspection; project Custom Tags is omitted |
| Searchspeare | Applicable rule, reasoning, connection, and translation-integration controls |
Memory corrections need confirmation
Memory Lock/Unlock depends on whether selected units have pending edits. Confirm saves edited memory pairs and locks them again. Export reads the saved resource, not just the currently filtered unit rows. Read Memory editor, its toolbar, and bulk maintenance.

Glossary library and editor
The glossary library ribbon offers New and Filters. An open termbase instead has Glossary, Edit, View, and Searchspeare tabs.
| Tab | Commands and behavior |
|---|---|
| Glossary | New glossary, save current terminology to a destination glossary, Import, and Export |
| Edit | Confirm, Lock/Unlock, Previous term, Next term, New term, Edit Term, Delete Terms, and Dedupe |
| View | The supported working-display controls from the View guide |
| Searchspeare | Available assistance settings for this workspace |
Edit Term opens the selected term entries' Properties. Properties applies working changes; Confirm commits pending corrections. Export uses the filtered terms in the active language pair, while Dedupe works across the loaded term set. Delete Terms removes selected concepts and can affect their other language forms.
These scopes are explained in Termbase maintenance. Use the termbase toolbar for additional active-side cleanup commands.
Alignment editor
Alignment has Alignment, Edit, View, Searchspeare, Terminology, and Settings tabs.
| Tab | Commands and behavior |
|---|---|
| Alignment | New alignment, Save to TM, and Export TMX |
| Edit | Realign within the current lock boundary, Prune, Dedupe, Previous/Next Mismatch, and First Non-Locked |
| View | Supported editor-display choices |
| Searchspeare | Assisted realignment across unlocked document stretches, preserving locked boundaries |
| Terminology | Extract Glossary from the filtered translated alignment material |
| Settings | Anchors: choose cues such as numbers, uppercase wording, URLs, emails, and bilingual terms |
Prune is the ribbon name for cleaning unsuitable alignment pairs. Prune and Dedupe use the whole loaded alignment, regardless of row selection or table filters. Ordinary realignment uses the current lock-bounded stretch; the Searchspeare realignment action can reach other unlocked stretches.
Use the alignment workflow and alignment toolbar for merges, splits, shifts, deletion, locks, and concrete repair examples. Check the resulting pairings before Save to TM or Export TMX.
Project lists and files
The project-list ribbon offers New and Filters. These act on the project library. Once a translation file is open, Project and File have different scopes.
Where the file-list ribbon is offered, Filters narrows the files and Extract Glossary starts terminology extraction from selected file material. This differs from extraction from the filtered translated rows in the editor. See Project Home and glossary extraction.
Hiding list-filter controls does not mean their values have been cleared. Use the page's clear-filter action when you want all records back.
AI rule manager
The rule-page ribbon offers New and Filters. New opens rule creation; Filters shows the manager's language-filter controls. The manager also has its own name/instruction search and editing controls.
Changing the visible list does not change rule applicability. Read AI rules for Enabled, languages, labels, examples, and extraction from context.
Research links and groups
| Page | Ribbon actions |
|---|---|
| Links Store | New, Google Search, Filters, and Restore Presets |
| Search Groups | New and Filters |
Restore Presets restores the supplied search-link collection and replaces existing preset entries identified by their names. Check its confirmation before using it on a customized preset collection.
Creating a resource does not necessarily add a toolbar button. Follow Custom search links, Search groups, and Using links while editing.
Tasks and clients
Both pages offer New and Filters for their own records. A new task is a planning item; a new client is a contact/business record. These actions do not create translation segments or change the current project's target text.
See Business and planning for using these records together with projects and quotations.
Quotations
| Page | Ribbon actions and purpose |
|---|---|
| Quotations | New, Filters, Mark Sent, Accept, Reject, and Download for the relevant quotation records |
New opens the file-based quotation wizard. Status and Download actions use the quotation selection; filtering the list does not select its results. Mark Sent does not email a document. Download produces DOCX files. Individual deletion is available from a quotation row's menu.
See Manage quotations and statuses for group actions, and Export and document appearance for DOCX, printing, language, wording, and images.
Abbreviations and stopwords
The Abbreviations resource-list ribbon offers New and Filters. Open a language resource to maintain its entries; that page offers its filter control alongside the content's add/edit/remove tools. See Segmentation rules and abbreviations.
The Stopwords library offers New and Filters. An open stopwords list offers Add, Filters, Delete, Import, Export, and the First, Inside, and Last position controls. These position choices concern how words may participate in the relevant analysis, rather than a general instruction to remove them from translations.
Stopwords are language-specific analysis resources. They are different from abbreviation exceptions, glossary Forbidden terms, and AI instructions. Settings and account explains where those resources belong.
