Date ranges and chart controls
Open Dashboard → Statistics and set the date range before reading a tab. The range selects the records to examine. A chart's Daily, Weekly, or Monthly choice then groups those records; it does not select a different overall date range.
Set the period
Choose Day, Week, Month, or Year, then use the previous/next arrows to move to another period. Statistics weeks start on Monday.
Choose Custom to enter dates directly. Custom ranges do not use the period-shift arrows. Check both endpoints: changing a preset date can make the range custom.
An empty date range includes more records
An empty endpoint leaves that side of the range open. Clear both dates only when you intend a broad all-records range; it does not mean “show no data.” The selected dates remain in the page address, so reopening the same address can restore them.
The date meaning depends on the chart:
| Data | Relevant date |
|---|---|
| Projects worked on in Statistics | Recorded confirmation/update activity or tracked working dates |
| Productivity words and units | The qualifying confirmed unit's current saved update date |
| Tracked time | The day on which working time was recorded |
| New clients | The client record's creation date |
| Invoiced Revenue | Invoice issue date, with the invoice's current qualifying status |
| Quotation outcomes | Quotation issue date, with the quotation's current outcome status |
| Current receivables | Outstanding invoices as of today, independently of the selected period |
See the individual tab guides for the full definitions. A project deadline, a confirmation date, and an invoice date are not interchangeable.
Read previous-period comparisons
Summary cards can show a percentage change and a small trend line. Full days, weeks, months, and years compare with the preceding corresponding calendar period. Other custom ranges compare with the immediately preceding range of the same duration.
The percentage compares the current value with the previous value. If the previous value was zero and the current value is positive, the display uses a “new” indication rather than a finite percentage increase.
The percentage shows how the recorded amount changed. Small trend lines in separate cards use different scales. Use the full chart and hover values to compare amounts.
Read a chart
- The horizontal axis identifies dates, grouped periods, or named categories.
- The vertical axis identifies the amount being measured, such as words, hours, projects, or money.
- A chart with two axes can display different units for bars and a line. Match each series to its axis and legend.
- Hover over a point, bar, or slice to read its value and any additional information.
Use Line for the available time-trend presentation or Bar for a period/category comparison. These choices change the presentation of the same measure. Some charts have a fixed presentation or fewer controls.
Choose a currency
Where a currency selector is offered, choose the currency you want to inspect. Amounts remain in their recorded currencies; the selector does not convert them to another currency.
Summary cards may automatically choose the currency with the largest recorded total for the period. A chart's currency selector is independent. Check the currency label before comparing a card and a chart, and do not add different currencies together as a single amount.
Use the legend
Interactive legends let you select which series or categories to display. With all items shown, choosing one isolates it. You can add other items to the selection; selecting the final remaining item again restores the complete set.
Scroll the legend horizontally when not every label fits. Legend selection changes the chart presentation; it does not delete records or filter the translation editor's segments.

Why a chart is empty
Some charts are hidden when there are no qualifying records, no positive values, or too little comparable data. A missing chart can therefore differ from a visible chart with a zero value.
Check the period, currency, hidden legend items, relevant project or document status, and recorded activity. If the page reports that data could not be loaded, resolve that state before interpreting an empty result as no activity.
