Edit ribbon
The Edit tab brings together changes to selected segments and to active target text. Check the row selection and highlighted text before using a command: they serve different purposes.

Selected-segment actions
| Command | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Confirm | Approve selected eligible targets through the confirmation and memory-saving workflow |
| Lock/Unlock | Protect or release selected rows for operations that respect locks |
| Copy Source | Replace selected targets with their source content; in single-language review, the corresponding action restores original text |
| Clear Segments | Remove content from selected targets |
| Segment case | Adjust the first word of selected targets; it is not the phrase-level Toggle case command |
| End punctuation | Cycle selected targets' ending punctuation |
| fix quotations | Normalize supported quotation marks according to the chosen style |
Select a small intended set before copying, clearing, or adjusting wording. Confirm can also propagate a translation to later identical source occurrences. Use Selection and scope to understand that exception.
Locks, bookmarks, status changes, and confirmation are different decisions. A lock is protection; confirmation approves the translation through its resource workflow.
Active-text actions
Select the relevant target wording before Bold, Italic, Underline, Superscript, or Subscript. These formatting commands use the active target editor; selecting many rows is not an instruction to format every target in them.
Symbols opens the character panel, where you can insert a suitable character at the intended position. Use View → Whitespace when checking spaces that are difficult to distinguish.
Find, replace, and review history
Check replacement settings before Replace All
Find & Replace opens its right-side panel. The search side, filtered set, From here choice, and locked rows affect replacement scope. Read the replacement guide before Replace All.
Undo and Redo use the available editing history. Check the restored text and selection. A structural Restore Original operation has its own behavior and is not simply another ordinary text undo.
Other editors
Memory and termbase Edit ribbons have workspace-specific commands and save behavior. Use their ribbon guide, memory confirmation guide, or term confirmation guide. Ordinary project-file autosaving does not describe pending resource corrections.
